OVERVIEW

Human Welfare Council, a pan India Not-for-profit organization that works with a mission to uplift those sections of the society that are deprived, socially and economically. It envisions to create a harmonious world with peace and equality: A world that is devoid of prejudice, inequity and, exploitation. The organization persistently strives to create developmental models that would help penetrate all the socially excluded segments of our society.


Human Welfare Council works in the areas of: Natural resource management and Sustainability, Healthcare and Education, Enhancement of rural livelihoods; Strengthening of governance and, Construction of varied employment opportunities. The organization functions in close proximity and in collaboration with the developmental systems and schemes that are run by state governments, district administrations, social welfare departments, and rural developmental departments. The unwavering efforts of the organization and its extended support in multifunctional areas are all aimed at ensuring maximal growth and convergence.


The organizations runs various programs that focus on different areas of concern. Here are the 5 programs advocated by the council:

The Help Change India Programme has been initiated with a belief that development of a nation is an all-inclusive process, which requires consolidated efforts of organizations, NGO’s, individuals, and groups with a similar purpose. The council hopes to amalgamate the resources and initiatives of all other institutions across India that work for the development of the nation and its people.


The Groove India Programme is driven by environmental concerns hoping to create sustainable developmental models for the future generations. The purpose of the Groove India Programme is: to be able to spread awareness about the imperativeness and the urgency to protect our nature; to instigate plans for pollution control and conservation of our ecosystems; and to create a sense of responsibility amongst people towards the environment.


The Lit India Programme realizes the gravitational role that education plays in the success of any individual, as well as any nation. An educated and literate population is capable of capitalizing diverse opportunities and carving new heights for a country’s economy. With this conviction, the Lit India Programme is structured to obliterate the causes of poverty, by providing access to elementary and higher technical education. The program hopes to achieve 100% literacy for India by the end of this decade.


The Bloom India Programme addresses the grave issue of unemployment in India. It observes that the majority of Indian population works with a service driven mind set, and hence are hesitant of taking risks. Thus, the program strives to bring an attitudinal revamp in the workforce by encouraging a skill driven and entrepreneurial approach. The principal domains of the Bloom India Programme are: providing institutional training; promoting leadership skills; safeguarding the interests of workers; and to create a healthy work environment both in the organized and the unorganized sectors.


The Well India Programme is propelled with a mission to provide health care facilities that enable early diagnosis and proper treatment to the socio-economic groups that are in utmost need of it. It is inevitable to generate awareness amongst such deprived sections about other medicinal institutions like Ayurveda, Yoga, Homeopathy, and Naturopathy. Special programs are being run to educate lower income groups about adopting better hygiene habits, vaccinations, proper defecations and, neo natal and post natal care.


Alongside such elaborate programs, the Human Welfare Council under its umbrella also operates a number of projects that are aimed at addressing different issues independently. The major projects led by the organization are: Project Shritipath, Project Cure, Project Phulwari, Project Uphaar, Project Shelter, Project Green Sun, Project Blue Shower, Project Grey Book, Project Milaan, and Project Rasoi.


Human Welfare Council is resolute in its endeavor to take the country to greater heights. Efforts to resolve national concerns that are obstacles to the country’s growth and prosperity have been the motive of the council since its inception. The organization is staunch in its mission and unswerving in its actions. With collaborative and cooperative efforts of its members, partners and donors, we as a nation, surely are a step closer to creating a society, where every human enjoys the right to an equitable and peaceful environment.
